Yes, and despite being 7 Shades of Green, it’s pretty tasty!
(As always, I recommend that you buy organic produce, especially the kale, cilantro, dandelion greens and apple in this recipe. Conventionally grown apples and leafy greens generally have high pesticide residue.)
Makes about 12 ounces of juice
– 2 large curly kale leaves
– approximately 1/8 of a small cabbage (about three slices)
– approximately 6 small dandelion leaves
– approximately half a bunch of cilantro (about 6-8 sprigs)
– 1 lemon
– 1 inch of ginger root
– 1 red delicious apple
Chop the cabbage into pieces that are small enough to fit into your juicer. Rinse and place the cabbage, kale, dandelion greens, cilantro and the apple in a stainless silver bowl and cover them with water. Add about two tablespoons of white vinegar, stir and let it sit for at least two minutes. Drain the water and rinse the greens and apple again. Peel the lemon and ginger root and chop into pieces that are small enough to fit into your juicer. Core the apple and chop into medium sized pieces. Juice all of the ingredients. After you’ve made all of the juice, mix it back and forth into another container like you would a mixed drink.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!
